Staying hopeful and positive

To be honest, it’s so hard to stay positive sometimes. 2020 has brought so much heartbreak and pain, but I’m trying to use that pain to move forward and speak out on Instagram, donate, watch videos in order to support and educate myself on current events. 

Sometimes I will become overwhelmed and not want to do anything all day but I challenge my feelings. I force myself to write a gratitude list or an affirmations page. It helps me put into perspective everything I do have, instead of all the things that are out of my control. I focus on the things I can control, instead of feeling helpless due to environmental factors. I focus on my career and try to be hopeful towards the future instead of bleak and gloomy. 

Hopeful is the key word.

I am going to live my life to the fullest while I still have to opportunity of living.

I always put on my gratitude list, that I am grateful to just be alive (even when Covid 19 and suicidal thoughts try to destroy this aspect)

Staying positive is hard. Here are some affirmations I wrote down that will possibly help. I encourage you to write your own down. They may feel like lies when you read them out loud, but they will slowly become truths. Please, stay hopeful.



Also, vision boards really help you stay hopeful for the future. Here’s mine, I hope it can be of help and motivation. Let’s take back our 2020. We have 5 months left :) Fighting!
