Finally May 2020
Congratulations you've made it through April! April was a very slow and stressful month for me, but the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers,” or so I hope! Now that May has officially started, I usually like to associate one word with each month. For some reason, the word jumping out at me for May of this year, is growth. I’ve drawn a greenhouse in association with this word! If you’d like to see more cover page spreads, check out my Instagram page @onepageofselfcareaday
This might be a new tradition, but for some reason I just feel like sharing inspirational quotes about growth for today’s blog post. I hope you enjoy. P.S. if they resonate with you, comment down below, and let me know which is your favorite!
1. “When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which the flower grows, not the flower.”
2. “If you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer, but if you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow”
3. “Growth is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”
4. “Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds.”
5. “Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one that is going to help you grow the most.”
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a wonderful month! Also, on a happy note - May is mental health awareness month! Yay! May your choices this month (and every month) reflect your hopes, not your fears (yes, pun intended).
